Emma Wahlström is one of the founders of the quintet and is an avid chamber musician. With her warm sound and colorful expression her horn playing is a priceless asset for the quintet. Already at a young age Emma performed with professional orchestras like the Gävle Symphony Orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan and Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra. She is diligently engaged as an instructor of various youth camps. With both her amazing muscianship and warm personality she shows that classical music is never boring or unilateral for the next generation of classical musicians.
Teachers include Sören Hermansson (Sweden's most engaged hornist for modern music) and Per Göran (Gothenburg Symphony-The National Orchestra of Sweden). Emma premiered America's scenes (Carnegie Hall) in 2014 with the Swedish national youth orchestra.
In 2009, Emma was enrolled in the orchestral program, as a full scholarship student, at the Toho Gakuen Orchestra Academy, Toyama, Japan.
Emma is currently enrolled in the Graduate woodwind quintet in residence program at Montclair State University where she studies with Jeff Scott (Imani Winds).
